Consistency is the Key to Success
Every day we are met with challenges in our lives and we don’t always know how to deal with them. But when we don’t know how to deal with our sales challenges then it affects our income in a major way. You see the reason why you probably got into sales in the first place is to get rid of the glass ceiling when it comes to our ability to increase your income and more money than you ever thought possible.
To be consistent means you have to do things every day that will bring you closer to your goals. Whether you feel sick, tired, sick & tired or just not in the mood is irrelevant. In the last post, I mentioned that I have to get my contact list to grow and I decided to contact 5 new prospects every day so I can grow my list every day. I need 2000 people on my list so I can make R2 mil in GCI for this year.
However, according to Grant Cardone, I have to do much more than that. Growing a list that will exceed 2000 people will take much too long. To top it all off the POPI Act kicked in and it made it so much more difficult to keep in contact with our database regularly without getting into trouble.

This is a real question most people in sales ask themselves because you just battle to keep the sales going and when you run out of time and you get exhausted you wonder if it is all worth it.
It will be all worth it if you know how to automate some of the tasks you have to do daily, weekly and monthly. For some, it is getting an assistant but they cost a lot of money and I have tried a few but since I didn’t know what they were supposed to do every day to increase my income I was hoping that they would automatically know what to do to help me increase my sales and listing so I can make more money but that never happened.
I would even give them a list of prospects to call and a script of what to say but somehow these actions never turned into listings and sales. Getting someone else to do the jobs you fear and hate will make them fear and hate it too and that is why getting an assistant to do that for you is never a good idea.
I kept hitting the same problems every time. So, who is at fault here?
Grant Cardone says that if you are the one being penalised financially then you are at fault. So now that we have established who the person at fault is I now need to figure out how to prevent this from happening in the first place.
So, unless I am prepared to contact 5 new prospects every day I cannot expect someone else to make them on my behalf. What then, is the alternative? This will probably be different for everyone. I need to find something that I can do consistently every day that will help me in the long run.
It is essential to follow someone and be mentored by someone who will help you get past this problem and help you see what can be done instead to increase your listing, sales and ultimately your bottom line. I chose Grant Cordone for this as he is now also an eXp member. He knows Real Estate well and I know I will learn a lot from him over the next few weeks.
So, now I have to get a list of tasks together that I will be able to do every day without fail. It has to be easy to do keeping in mind what my goals for this year are.
Grant says that for every 50 people you contact you should get one sale. That means I need to contact 5 new people every day 5 days of the week and that should result in 2 sales per month. I have figured out how to get it done consistently and I think you should know it too!
So without complicating things this is what I will do every day for 5 days of the week. Let’s see how this will pan out!
