How to 10X my Real Estate Business in 2021
As you know, I started my second week off with a bang because of the 10X Real Estate Agent Challenge by Grant Cardone I took up.
Boy, am I glad I did!
Day 1 and 2 -We went over a bunch of great info like:
- The amount of real estate agents I am competing against here in South Africa is 48 000.
Did you know that only 8000 agents in South Africa are full-status agents? I am so surprised about this statistic. Apparently in any country, about half of the agents are not working much and may sell only one or two properties every year. That brings us to 24 000. 90% of these agents sell only about one property a month. I am sad to say that I was one of them. I was content with selling only one property a month. 10% of 24 000 is 2 400. They are the agents to follow!
But, you need to only model the top 100 real estate agents because if you do what all the others do, you will get the results they do and even if you do more of what they do you will still come up short.
- You need to increase your contacts so you can increase your contracts.
This is easier said than done. Not because it is difficult to do. It is one of those things that are also just as easy not to do, like Cold Calling. Now, if I have to choose between Cold Calling and communicating with prospective clients I will communicate easily with 100 prospects but I will not be able to make 100 Cold Calls every day. Cutting out the Cold Calling frees up some of my time so I can spend it on building and communicating with my Database. Since I started 2 days ago I have had 3 Sellers call me to list their homes and another 2 have made appointments for 2 weeks from now. This is as many as I had in about 3 months previously. Freakin amazing!
- Self-promotion is self-preservation
This one was an eye-opener for me. I did not grow up with Social Media and making videos of the things I do daily so it is very hard for me to get the hang of it. I will just have to suck it up and start doing it. I never intended for this blog to go beyond a blog but now I think I will have to catch a wake-up and expand it on Facebook and Instagram as well. I just need to figure out how, and SOON!
- Take the best! Leave the rest
In this challenge so far I have learned that I don’t need to work with people who do not respect me and the work I do. I can work with buyers and sellers who like me. Because I will have a lot of clients to choose from in the future I can choose the best ones for me and give the other’s away to colleagues who are prepared to work with them.
And if I can see 3 buyers or sellers face to face every day, even if I can only close 10% of them, I’ll be closing 75 new deals per year. That’s big money right there! It means that I will reach ICON status the moment I sell 42 properties at R1.5 mil each. It now seems possible. Before I never even dreamed of reaching ICON Status as it was something too far from my reality.
But these points are just a small part of what allows me to create the 10X lifestyle I deserve to be living. The best is yet to come!
To gain the things I want, there are a few important things I need to make happen faster, easier, and with less hassle than going in head first on my own.
I have committed to making this year my BEST YEAR YET! So, I’m committed to implementing the things I learn every day to helping me make my dreams a reality.
I don’t know about you, but I am sick of the grind. There is a way for Estate Agents here in South Africa to have several income streams all in the Real Estate space. I have taken the plunge and although it was not easy to leave Re/Max as I really loved working there it just makes sense to explore other routes from time to time.
It is now time for eXp Realty to show me what I have missed out on! They have their work cut out for them and from what I have seen up to now….I am impressed!
