The short answer is YES!

One of the first places to start with email marketing is to get a weekly message out. Email has become so commonplace it has even taken over the short phone calls people make to each other to check-in. You should have monthly, bi-weekly or even better, weekly communication with your clients and it is one of the best ways to let them know what is happening within your business.

It doesn’t matter in what business or industry you are in, Email communication will always get you the best return on investment. I know we all love Social Media and we always try to get our Social Media posts out regularly but have you noticed that nobody seems to see your posts anymore…and if they do they are not engaging with our posts anymore.

Did you know that email gets 40x more engagement than Social Media? Isn’t it time you harness the power of this simple way of communicating what your business has to offer?

Weekly communication with your email list is not meant to be something that sells hard to them every time. Rather, look at it as a way of just getting in touch with the past, future and current clients or customers that you have. You are just sending them a note, which of course has links back to your website to help you to sell your service or products softly.

Why do you want to communicate like this? One reason for doing so is to simply keep your company, your product, or your service in the minds of the potential client or customer. It allows them to know who you are and helps you to develop a relationship with them.

It is important not to overdo it. As mentioned, you do not want your commercial messages to be considered spam. Rather, you want to make sure you always offer something of use, some form of information or otherwise alerting the customer or client to what you have to offer. If you are not running a special or contest, instead offer some advice or wisdom in the email.

The best way to manage this type of personal communication is to use simple email software that will allocate email addresses into the appropriate groups. Then, you can send out one email address to a group of contacts appropriately.

It is always best to keep the communication, lighthearted and interesting. Never be boring!

Especially at first, there is no need to invest in hefty email marketing software like an autoresponder. It took me forever to learn how to operate my email software that includes newsletter-sending capabilities and every time they bring out a new feature I need to learn that as well.

Stick to simple or get me to help you set up your email newsletter for you. Staying in contact with your past, current and future customers is the lifeline of your business so you have to recognize this very important marketing tool as such!

Next time we will talk about Newsletters in particular and how to use them successfully in your marketing!
